what's the actual species of this guy?

1I saw this guy at a show a few years ago, but havn't seen any since. There were a few really rough looking "dune geckos" for sale. I did not buy any because of how bad they looked and I had no idea about their care (I rarely believe dealers). Can anyone give me a positive id on him? I wouldn't mind learning more and figuring out if I want one or not... Thanks

It is a Stenodactylus. They can be somewhat hard to find captive bred. But they are out there. Wild caught ones are more often but I would say that you'd be much better off finding yourself some captive bred ones.
A really COOL gecko in a tiny package. Fairly easy to care for, and lot's of personality.

I had, but was pretty bad at matching the pic I remembered and the name... I also got a lot of different pic ID's... Thanks guys. I will look up more info on them. I'm not really in the market for one at this moment, but always good to know. :)

they have incredible eyes.

I mean, so do ALL geckos, but they're up there on the list for fantasticness.
