Leopard gecko eating and health

Sorry, I don't know what brand it is.

Inexpensive round/analog thermometers are sometimes not very accurate.

What do you mean by soft tip this is a pic of the syringe View attachment 22728

At some vet's offices one can buy a soft rubber feeding tip to place on the end of a syringe like the syringe in your picture.

Yes I would do so much to make him healthier. I will get the crickets soon!
Ok that is a good idea.
He is licking his eye a lot is that because he is trying to get skin out?

I just saw Rico drinking water!

Excellent news to hear that Rico's drinking by himself. Always fresh water.

Please click on the Leopard Gecko Caresheet below and go to post #57. There you will find directions for a "Humidity Chamber". Try that right now IF you suspect stuck shed in one or both eyes.

Ok I will try it. I usually only have the humid hide in when he sheds, because before he would stay I'm there and not go drink water or anything.

Okay let's see if I can explain. Your leo cannot digest his food without the proper temps, which means he will not have an appetite until you make sure his tank is set up correctly and have the proper temperatures. You cannot feed or expect him to eat without correcting this first because the food will not digest and rot in his stomach.

So instead of expecting him to eat, you have to buy a good thermometer. 2 digital thermometer with a probe. A thermostat for the UTH and all the other items Elizabeth recommended. If you decide to leave on vacation and leave your gecko's tank this way, sadly it may be too late by the time you get back.

Also you have to buy Zoo Med's Reptivite with D3/vitamin A acetate so that you can dust your crickets before offering them. You have not been using this and it may be the reason he had an eye infection to begin with. It's called Vitamin A deficiency. This causes the gecko to lose their appetite as well and will eventually kill your leo if it's not provided.

Ok thank you for telling me, this helped a lot!

You're welcome. It will be best to ask the vet if he/she thinks your gecko is suffering from Vitamin A deficiency. If your gecko is, the vet can give you a liquid form of vitamin A in a specified amount. It can only be given by the vet who knows the safe doses to prevent toxicity. I hope you get everything sorted out and he'll start eating soon.:)

Before I would put in this saline solution with vitamin A stuff in his eyes.
The vet is pretty sure it was caused by skin stuck in his eye
