Quick thermometer Q

Just trying to learn as much as I can and cover all my bases before getting a crestie. When using a probe thermometer & hygrometer where would be the best place to put that?

I have a probe for temp half way down on the back left corner an the hum. probe half way down on the back right corner . This works good for me .

I have a ZooMed hand held i think it was like $20 that you just point and press the button and get a reading.
