Crestie still does not sleep during the day! Help?

Cassie here,
I've had my crested gecko for a while now but he/she still sleeps at night and is active during the day. He has a regular 12 hours of light 12 hours of darkness. He literally will go sleep around 8ish every night! Such strange behavior.. but during the day he is by a window and I keep a small light near him(does not produce heat). At eight I turn the light off. What the heck do I do!?

Please post crested related topics under the correct forum. There is a seperate forum for jus cresteds under this forum. But anyways that is strange, mine head to their spots right before the light comes on every morning.
