Tank Temps ok?

I've been worried about my gecko handling the colder nights as winter grows closer. I leave the UTH on all the time. I took some measurements I'd figure ya'll might be able to tell me if I'm going the right way with this little guy.

I use a 60 watt home light bulb. For some heat, an then when the inside temp, on cool side reaches towards 80 degrees I turn the florescent on and 60 watt'r off.
I get 70-80 degrees cool side temp.
I have a probe which tells me over his UTH is about 93, sometimes gets to 95 degrees.
I also get 45% humidity in day time, at night time it climbs to 70% I assume it's cause the lights are off at night an they don't burn that humidity up as it would in the day time.

Here's a pic of the tank I got him in now new tank1.jpg

Temps are almost there, but not quite. Three separate temperatures should measured- warm side floor, warm side air and cool side air (about 4 inches up) Warm side floor should be anywhere from 88-95. Warm air temp should be at most 85, cool side air temp should be at most 75. I don't see any thermometers in the picture, what do you use to measure temperatures? You need a probe thermometer for all 3 temperatures or a heat gun. Also you must connect you UTH to a thermostat then set the thermostat around 90. To reduce humidity use a smaller water dish if you provide one. Humidity anywhere from 20-40% constantly is a good constant. Occasional peaks of humidity isn't bad as long as its not consistent.

Funny the pic managed to not show one temp devise. I do have thermometer half way up warm side tank, an humidity thermometer up half way on cool side, an a probe thermostat under the paper towels in his warm hide(not moist hide). I do have a water dish between the 2 logs in the middle, it's a little big but super shallow. I had read this was best, I totally dig your efforts on getting back to me. Thanks a million

No problem! Just accomplish these temps:
Warm side over UTH: 88-95
Warm air: 85 max
Cool air: 75 max

If temps are around there without any heat lamp, you can not use one. Or if they are just about there use a smaller wattage, such as a 25 watt house bulb. You could also use a clamp lamp or lamp stand so the heat lamp isn't directly on top the tank, instead a few inches above. A thermostat is the way to go for controlling the UTH.
