Airtight enclosures and oxygen levels

I have a single adult tokay gecko and I would like to switch my screen top to a glass top in order to prevent the humidity from drying out too fast. But I realize that without the air in the room mixing with the terrarium's air i could see CO2 start to buildup and potentially kill my gecko.

Does anyone have any tips on this subject? At the moment I keep a live ficus plant inside, that's not to say it can provide enough oxygen for my lizard, I haven't done the tests for that.

You can cover most of the top and leave some room for air exchange... maybe put glass over 80% the screen

I have two Zoo Meds and had a piece of glass cut to fit the top and leave about a 2 inch gap for air circulation. What type of tank is it?
