Paroedura pictus possibly gravid again

Hi all
My Paroedura pictus laid her first pair of eggs 3 weeks ago which were duds.
Shortly after she appeared gravid again with two bulges at either side.
At the moment she is shedding, eating and moving well.
I assume these eggs are approx 2 and a half weeks old inside her.
Does anyone know what is a safe period of time for the pictus to carry eggs. Most info out there say 2 weeks. Don't want her to become egg bound.
Also is there an average time period from laying eggs to becoming gravid again as mine seemed very quick (3-4 days).
I am going to examine her up close tomorrow and will try and take some pictures.

Any advise welcome.

Well my first question would be, what are you using as an egg laying medium? and second have you been supplementing and gutloading?

She has a choice of 3 laying hides one with coco fibre one moist moss and a gravel hide. the previous eggs were laid on the cork bark under foliage.
she is eating a mix of crickets,mealies n wax worms all calcium coated.
All temps and humidity are fine.

Most terrestrial geckos will lay on cork bark, rocks, ect when they know the eggs will be no good (such as a first time clutch like yours). My suggestion, have a warm hide with a 25% sand 75% cocofiber mixture. Make sure it has solid not clear sides, or if it is clear, pile up some moss on the hide. I like to use tupperwear containers.

If the eggs are visible inside and you have seen them for almost 2.5 weeks that would worry me too, that seems a bit long.

Also i would seperate them for a bit, as i have read and heard on many occasions that Paroedura are prone to calcium crashs and even death after 3 or more clutchs

If they arent laid by Monday i would be concerned, they look fairly big. Maybe leave a shallow bowl of warm-ish water in the enclosure this weekend and see if that helps.

If your temps are correct more than likely she will continue to lay from the one breeding. My females were exposed to the males in Jan for two weeks and then separated. They have been laying 2 eggs every 7-10 days ever since, sometimes double clutching and giving 4 eggs in a span of 3 days. Egg producing female need to be fed very well. I feed mine almost every day.
3 weeks is a bit long but noting to panic about yet. Gestation will be directly affected by you ambient temps, what are they?

just a quick update. our gecko went under the knife today and it revealed she wasn't egg bound but had two large cysts from an infection. They think this may have happened from small under developed eggs that got infected. next 48 hours are crucial so fingers crossed she will be allowed home on Monday.
