Removable Structures?

Hi all,

I have a very basic, 20 gallon long set up for my leo (can post a pic later) with paper towel as a substrate, 3 hides, and a large hollow piece of bark that he likes to run through. I've been looking at all the amazing work on here and am super inspired! However, I have some questions:

Is it easy to clean when you have all the complicated structures in there?

More importantly, when I feed my leo, I have to remove all but one of the hides for him, so he can catch crickets easier. His previous owner said he had a lot of trouble eating when he was younger (he's 3 1/2 now) and had to be hand fed crickets. However, the previous owner never let him even try to hunt, so he's always been hand fed. Removing most of the structures at feeding time has made it easier for me to catch the crickets if he's having trouble (I'm trying to get him to hunt). Are those foam structures removable, or sealed to the tank wall?

Any advice?
