I think lights are hot on top of the screen ?

Hi , now that the temps are cold in the nights , I see my temps are down to 69 . I have a heat pad under the bottom an I keep the red light on all night . I have the lights up 7 " . So if I put the light on the screen will it burn the gecko or will he stay away ? He likes to walk under the screen upside down . Thanks for your input .

That temp is fine for a crested. No need for any extra heating at that temp.

69 is hardly cold. The room my crested are in gets dips into the high 50's sometimes at night in the middle of winter. Doesn't seem to bother them. They are more sensitive to heat than cold. I would be worried with a heat pad and lamp that temps would be too hot.

Ya I would avoid a heat pad, being in CT my room dips to high 50s in the winter and they're just fine with that.
