I use Zoo Med for my basking bulbs. I always felt they lasted a bit longer, but when I went to order another 2 pack from Amazon today, I realized I got the last 2 pack Sept 10th, so...
I buy the Exo Terra Night Glo bulbs for my Leo's and Cresteds because I can get them really cheap and I've had good luck with them.

I have 13W and 26W CFLs for my live vivariums. They don't really emit all that much heat, more for the plants really. We keep the house pretty warm at 24*C (75*F) and lower to 21*C at night. My guys don't hide that much but I find as soon as the timer turns off the light they're up and out for 'show'.
The 26W CFLs I discovered at Lee Valley. They are fabulous bulbs; my bromeliad is even redder now then when I acquired it! Slider, doesn't mind it either. Although a little pricier, CFLs, these ones anyway, are guaranteed to last 10,000 hours.
I have a clear 40W 'Globe' incandescent light for my leopard gecko Blue that was $4-$5 and have had it for 2 years and it is still going. It does warm her enclosure a bit but we use it as a light source. hope this helps..
