Moss for pictus geckos?

Hi! First post here :D I have two pictus geckos and was planning on spicing up their tanks. I bought them with the promise of them both being females and ended up with one male, so they were separated hastily to avoid mating and thus their tanks are pretty plain. I'm a huge fan of moss in things like terrariums and gardens and was wondering if it would be a good addition? Also what kinds of moss?? I keep an indoor moss garden, would that be usable or should I only go store-bought? Thank you all in advance!

In my female pictus tank, I set it up as a naturalistic forest floor. I use moss from out in the woods behind my house in New Jersey. I sterilized it as best I could. The first species of moss didn't survive I think it was too much light ( 75 watt 5000K bulb 8 inches above for 6 hours a day) but this current species seems to be surviving(3 months now and still alive). It looks great but is a bit of work having to mist it enough to keep it wet but not soak it enough to have high humidity and cause respiratory problems for the geckos. A major part of my problem is I use a exo terra that is only 12" tall, so from the surface of the soil to the top of the enclosure is only about 8"s making watering the plants in the back difficult. image.jpg a few times the moss has sprouted half inch long shoots with tiny leaves at the end. So I like the moss, my gecko likes the moss, the spring tails like the moss. It gets our seal of approval
