Thanks, I'm excited too Aimee. It's pretty clear at this point that the yellow feet are genetic. Now my goal is to see if I can increase the yellow over the next few generations.

Yeah, the yellow feet are what differentiate these from regular blue headed greens. I have a group of these that all have yellow feet and knees. This first generation of CBB has proven the yellow feet to be inheritable. The next few generations will be spent trying to increase the amount of yellow. The ultimate goal of course would be to produce an entirely yellow tokay, or a blue headed yellow, or something of that sort. It's definitely nice that I have multiple wc animals with this same trait. It allows me to not have to do a bunch of inbreeding like so many others do. One of the other things I'll be concentrating on next season is outcrossing these genetics to a bunch of normals in order to increase the unrelated bloodlines by producing hets.

Why? Is there a reptilian 'Pit Bull' in your future? If so, just don't put it in your stocking for X-mas. Someone might reach in looking for a treat! HA!

Good luck!

I would love one! I've been browsing and found a few different species. Once my gf and I get our own place she's in for it, hopefully by then this fine gentlemen at Riverside will have some offspring from this handsome boy. She was quite shocked when I shoulder her a pinkie for lunch.

I had a pretty good season so far and I still have at least 4 more 2013 eggs left to hatch out. So hopefully I'll have a few available in the Spring. Have to wait and see what the sex ratios, coloration, etc turn out to be though.
