Hi all!, I'm new to this forum as well as being new to leopard geckos and herpetology as a whole.
I've been researching for many months and have finally purchased most of what I need to house a single leo. I have gone with an Exo-Terra medium low, heat mat, and mini deep dome combo lighting system for supplementary heating as well as light for proper day/night sleep cycle. I will of course set up the system and regulate properly before purchasing an animal. One of my many questions concerns lighting. Now, assuming I regulate my heat mat on the warm side of the enclosure which side to I place the day/night bulb? My plan is to have each bulb on a timer and hang the unite on a lamp stand so I can regulate height ect. I have a 60w Zoomed day blue and red night. Would I place the day bulb on the warm side and night on cool side or vice versa? For the most part the unit will be centered but still need guidance on which side to put the bulbs.
