I have a store that got in a gecko that has an eaten tail. They know I read the forums and take good care of mines so they may give this one to me so it's taken care of. It seems to be healthy and adult. I know I will need to keep by hisself. What other things should be done to get him back to normal? Also will the tail grow back?

The pics above are from today. Evidently someone that never have geckos had him and said he wasn't eating. So he put in 5 dozen grown crickets with him.

This started as a partial tail drop. It may just shrivel up and fall off or it can become infected. A leo who was kept in poor conditions is more susceptible to infection. I can not guarantee that this may not become a problem nor if there are other underlying problems by looking at a picture. A vet visit is always a good idea. I would take him off the loose substrate and use paper towels for now. Other than that, providing proper husbandry is all that you can do.
