Hi,
Does anyone know if there are airlines that allow you to travel with your gecko as carry-on? Or even send them as cargo in your same plane?
I am asking because just a week ago I got a beautiful baby leachie and 3 days after I got offered a 4 month position in South America. I want to take the gecko with me as my companion and I got all the necessary paperwork for importing and exporting a reptile to and from the country I'm going (I need to "export" it when I come back). All that documentation is fairly easy and cheap to complete, however, I have not been able to find an airline or a shipping company that is willing to transport my little friend
. They all say they changed policies after 9/11 (makes sense, after all hijackers had trained snakes and ninja turtles as weapons  )
I find it prejudicial against reptile owners to only allow furry animals to accompany humans in their adventures.
Any help? Thanks!!!
