Does anyone know who went looking for P. masohoala?

Hi all,

I am in the early stages of setting up an expedition to try to find Phelsuma masohoala in the wild, back where it was first discovered in north eastern Madagascar. Officially it has not been seen again in the 20 years since its discovery.

According to Dr. Frank Glaw (one of the leaders in Malagasy herpetology), someone in the hobby has been to this area to try to discover this species in the wild again, and was apparently met with some success, finding an intermediate form between it and P. abbotti slightly north west of its original location. He does not, however, know who conducted this expedition.

So the question is, do any of you happen to know who it was who tried to find this gecko? Or if not, do you know anyone who might be able to help me further? I have been outside the Phelsuma circle for a very long time, and have lost most of my contacts.

I'd appreciate any and all help you can give me.

Cheers,
Mark
