As far as breeding, the female should be about 40g and older than 14months. The important thing here is the weight, as breeding is very stressful on the females and an under weight female can become egg bound or have other serious issues. Males pretty much are ready to mate at an earlier age but should only be paired with a female of like size. Also if you do breed them females will lay clutches about every 30 days with 2eggs for about 8 months off one mating. So 32 eggs in a year if you have two females. Are you prepared for caring for that many babies properly? What are your plans formthe babies? Right now the market is flooded so selling them may take a while. Just some simple questions to ask yourself before you take the leap.
