Leachie tail

Hi every one! My leachie has some stick shed on his tail, I've gotten most of it and I'm gonna give him a sauna in about 10 mins to loosen the skin, it's just I hate pulling it, because he pulls his tail away every time I touch it. I hate to possibly make him uncomfortable... Any idea why it's sensitive? Thanks!

they just don't like to be touched like that. it probably feels instinctively like a predator trying to catch them from behind. I'd just get the shed off and then correct your humidity so you don't have to do it again, and you'll both be happier
