Small boa/python species

Hi every one, yesterday to my amazement, my dad seemed interested in a snake! It was a Solomon island boa. I am going to do my research, and try to convince him to let me get a boa, I just obviously don't want a big species. I was thinking a boa, or Python that is under 6 feet that isn't a ball python, rosy boa, or sand boa, thanks! I love the look of red tails!

I love Children's Pythons, personally. They get to be about 3 feet long, and I've always thought they have a fierce, big-python-in-a-small-package look to them. I've also found them to be more active, entertaining captives than many other small boas/pythons, although some individuals are nippier than the average ball/rosy/sand.

I would second the Antaresia. I have a Spotted Python who's just a great girl. also, the smaller Liasis (Water Pythons in particular) are excellent pets. both of these species will stay under 4-5 feet. Fog Dam Water Pythons will get 6-7 feet if you get a female, but that locality's almost impossible to find out of Oz so it's not much of a concern.

Childreni gets my vote as well. If you want to go the boa route, look into Hogg island or Nicaraguan boas, both of which are considered dwarf boas.
