I attended the NARBC in Arlington,Tx and I saw a vendor dealer that had a young male tokay gecko with a regrown tail. I bought it and when I got home I decided to handle it,the gecko didn't bark or bite it just sat on my hairy arm lol ,I even put my hand next to its mouth it didn't latch on me. I saw a guy with a adult tamed tokay gecko at the show.

If he's anything like mine, it may be less that he's tame, and more that he's too terrified to bite. Gone "tharn", as they'd say in Watership Down. I have to handle mine daily to give him medicine for a bone infection, but generally it's better to let them settle in for a few weeks without attempting to handle them at all. My guy finally chomped a knuckle yesterday, and I was honestly relieved to see some typical Tokay attitude from him.

Good luck with your new critter! Tokays are beautiful animals.

I will give him a week to settle, i do own 2 adult male/female tokays and they will never be hand tamed, my adult female also clamped my knuckle and wouldn't let go for 10 mins. Agree tokays are beautiful geckos,I hope you're tokay feels better :)
