Random Squeaking?

I have a 7 month old male leopard gecko who eats regularly and defecates every day or every other day. Over the past few months when I am in my room, I have heard him squeal very loudly. When I rush to his cage everything is normal and I think I am hearing things. His squeals sound similar to the ones a defensive gecko would make. Today though, I confirmed that he was squeaking. When I heard him squeal he was out in the open and when I rushed to his cage, he had his little hip raised and twisted slightly in an odd position, he had his mouth wide open and he closed and opened his mouth before closing it again. He is a very robust young Leo that eats all his crickets and mealworms and is kept on a tile/cage carpet substrate; his temps are 73-88 Fahrenheit. I would like to know if anyone else has had any experiences like this and if they think he was in pain, yawning, or just exited by something.

Please reply!!

He could've been startled by something.
I know my male leopard gecko, when he was younger, squeaked a few times due to the sound of a TV.

One interesting thing is they sometimes bark! I was feeding him when I found a stink bug crawling around my room. I caught it to take it outside, which of course, stunk! Before I threw the bug out, my leo started barking. Like a squeak, but short chirp like noise. He was walking around a lot, looking around and barking. It wasn't until the room cleared from the smell, then he calmed down and went back to normal.

Yes, well leopard geckos are fascinating animals and we probably have much to learn about their behavior!

Well his floor temperature directly on the tile is usually between 90-93 degrees, the air on the warm side is what is 88 degrees. I do not keep his tile at 95 or higher because he tends to sit and the open as if his hide was too hot. Why do you recommend changing his temps though?

Floor temp. is fine then, thoought 8 was the floor temp. Your 93 will be good. GEcko may just be a weirdo like i said.
