I have a 7 month old male leopard gecko who eats regularly and defecates every day or every other day. Over the past few months when I am in my room, I have heard him squeal very loudly. When I rush to his cage everything is normal and I think I am hearing things. His squeals sound similar to the ones a defensive gecko would make. Today though, I confirmed that he was squeaking. When I heard him squeal he was out in the open and when I rushed to his cage, he had his little hip raised and twisted slightly in an odd position, he had his mouth wide open and he closed and opened his mouth before closing it again. He is a very robust young Leo that eats all his crickets and mealworms and is kept on a tile/cage carpet substrate; his temps are 73-88 Fahrenheit. I would like to know if anyone else has had any experiences like this and if they think he was in pain, yawning, or just exited by something.
