I have a female that just laid her 5th clutch this year and none of the eggs were viable. After about the 2nd week, they were molded or they looked like raisins. The temp in the incubator is 82 degrees and the humidity is always up at 84%.
When I removed the male from the enclosure (back in December) it was because I saw her digging and thought she should be on her own from that point onwards but now I am wondering if I separated them to soon and they did not breed. I separated them around the 1st week of December and her first clutch arrived January 20th.
She just laid her 5th clutch 3 days ago and she is eating and has not lost a gram of weight. Would it be safe to add the male back in to try and breed her to see if I can get good eggs?? If she is laying them anyways, they might as well be good ones............... Or should I just leave her be for this season and try again next season??
Thanks
Marc
