Question about my Roach colony

So I just started this colony earlier this year and I some questions concerning my Leo and these guys. I feed them dog food and oranges should I be feeding them something different for the Leo? Or will the dog food and orange be good enough?




*edit he only gets the baby roaches right now the big ones go to my sons Bearded Dragon when I can sneak them over to his mothers house with out her knowing lol. She refuses to let me keep some there for him to feed on

Dog food can be unhealthy for Leo's due to the amount of Protein dog food contains!

Try feeding a All Purpose Poultry Feed Diet such as Albers, with Dandelion Flowers/ greens and also Collard Greens for variety!

I switched mine over to a low protein low fat dog food. I grind up equal parts of oats and Solid Gold Holistique Blendz. It's 18% protein and 6% fat. I only use it because I get it free from my work and the roaches seem to really like it. I give a slice of orange every other day. I've noticed they are growing a bit slower since I took them off the high protein dog food but I believe that in the end it's healthier for our gecko.
