So my younger leo, Butters, loves to eat! Whenever it comes to feeding time, he is always excitedly waiting for me to put his feeder dish back full of delicious foods. He attacks his food in an instant, and will usually down at least 10 mealworms in under 2-5 mins.
Then later, I'll watch him wander around and then start licking clean his feeder dish, digging inside it for more grub, and looking out expectantly at me to refill his dish. I feel like I should feed him more, but I'm worried about overfeeding him since he's still a juvie. It just seems weird compared to my older leo Nyx, who is definitely seems more capable of eating larger amounts of insects, but she only really likes to occasionally snack rather than have a big meal (not that I'm worried, her tail is super fat!!).
So what do you guys think I should do? Should I adjust my feeding schedule so Butters is fed twice a day? And if so, how much more? First feeding I normally leave 10-12 mealworms.
