We have adopted a Leopard Gecko my girls named Vastra after the Lizard lady on Dr. Who. I think she is about six months old, about six inches in length. I have her in a ten gallon tank and gave her three hides and a red R zilla light for heat. I bought a under tank heater but as the tank is sitting right on the table the pet store guy told me to put it on the side of the tank. She seems to be healthy and happy and goes back and forth from the three hides. She spends quite a bit of time in the moist one, a zip lock container I put in there with damp paper towels. In the three weeks we have had her she has shed twice. She eats crickets in the small feeding tank I have for her. She doesn't pounce very well. She wiggles her tail and seems to hone in but when she pounces she is still an inch or so away from her prey. Could she have vision problems or is this common? She may not be used to crickets. I believe they only fed her meal worms. She does get enough to be full usually when they walk right up to her and she can't miss. LOL!
