Where to place thermometer/hygrometer?

3 digital thermometers with probes, one on the ground on the warm side (inside warm hide), one 4 inches above ground on warm side, one 4 inches above ground on the cold side. I don't know about hygrometers, I guess probably in the middle would be fine

Yeah, I'm kinda old school. I might have done that back in the day with exotics from glades herp.;-)
