that's not something I've seen, so I can't do more than give wild speculation as to reason. is it possible for you to get a photo?

If you had a heatlamp or heatpad on his cage, maybe he overheated on that side? I have absolutely no idea

Was he partially shaded? Mine will only fire up where the lights are hitting him, and will stay light in the darker spots. Makes for an interesting looking gecko.

No he does this even when holding him. Like he will be fired down and then only fire up on side when handling. First two are from few days ago and last two are taken today and seems to be the same side also..

He has a light (just for lighting the terrium) but no heating

If those are pictures, could you try not posting them on fb please because some (like myself) do not have face books so them and I cannot help you if we cannot see the problem :( . How long ago have you gotten these geckos? You should not be holding them this soon if its less than a week/week and a half/two weeks because they will need time to acclimate to their new homes, and trying to handle then could be very stressing. If you could post what temps your cage is regularly at, the average humidity, and if you could please try posting pictures of his tank and the gecko himself not on Facebook it could help us. How many geckos are you keeping in once cage, or are they all seperate? If you can tell are they male/s or female/s? What food do you give them? And can you tell us approx what time you have gotten each at (how many days have you had them)?

we can't access them, but I bet it's because you haven't set their privacy to "public".

FB is fine for hosting pics to post here, but you need to make sure the privacy filters are turned off the photos you want us to see.

I got him on the 8th Soo almost 2 weeks.. He's male and 2.5 years old. He's my only crested gecko housed in a 18 x 18 x24, have 2 l
Female leos but there in a completely different room. He's currently eating repashy but plan on picking up pangea this week end and repashy grub n fruit.

The house Temps stays at 72 and never below 70 (at night)

I'll check his Temps soon (with temp probe) and get pics up somewhere else soon.

He has no heat source but does have one of those bar lights and I spray 2 times a day (I don't think the hydro meter that came with him is accurate enough )

sorry completely forgot about this thread since been super busy and had jaw problems (had to go see dentist and suff) Anyways an update, I did find a problem which is my brothers room gets super cold at night so now has a small heat lamp right under the heat lamp its 80 degrees, coldest point (far corner) its 71-72 degrees and most is around 75-76 degrees. That seems to have solved the half flaring issue and flares up normal and is move active now and hanging around top and eating. Switched his food to a mix of pangea and rapashy grubs n fruit.

I would be careful with those temps, you're pushing it towards dangerous the higher you go, anything over 82 degrees could be fatal, also, you switched his food but what does that mean you were feeding him before

I was feeding him just regular rapashy before that came with him, but heard pangea gets a better feeding response and since didnt have much rapashy thought I would go out and buy some pangea and rapashy grub n fruit (because was planning on breeding him one day so extra protien in diet wouldnt hurt plus he doesnt like bugs themselves). Went across town to get it as only one place carried other rapashy flavours and pangea.

I am being careful with the temps and that temps like if the prob is pretty much touching the top and I kept the probe in there for over a month now to make sure doesnt go higher. normally it stays more like 77-78degrees but since its spring now and the weather is going hot to cold (weird weather) it has reached 80degrees like today.
