question about lighting

the lighting i am talking about in only for visibility NOT heat. what colour light should i use?

Something low wattage that doesn't simulate bright sunlight. You could use a 15 watt incandescent bulb on a dimmer and timer to simulate dawn or dusk and give the gecko a day and night cycle without stressing them out with bright lights.
