Playful behavior??

Was just wondering if anyone has experienced a sort of 'playful' behavior with their leopard gecko, or if it's even possible to display such a behavior. I only ask because one of my leos has a habit of chasing or 'hunting' things at the glass of her tank whenever she's awake. Her tank is on my work desk, so normally she's usually trying to chase down the pencils that go back and forth while I'm drawing. It's adorable in a way, like watching a cat chase down that red laser; but I wanna make sure it doesn't have any adverse effects. She is a very chill Leo most of the time, and is easily handled and petted, so she doesn't really have an aggressive personality.

I don't know if "playful" is the best term to describe that behavior, though I agree I can't help but feel it is pretty adorable lol. She probably just views it as a prey item; it's an instinctual response. If it is going on during the day while she should be sleeping, I'd try to find another location for her enclosure so that her sleep cycle is not being disturbed.
