Mold/fungus underground in viv.

Have a 18 x 18 x 24 exo terra terrarium w/hydroton, netting, and 3 - 4.5 inch abg mix covered w/magnolia leaves used for my adult male crested gecko. Huge cleanup crew. Isopods and springtails, and one large and one nymph dubia wandering around I see every now and then. Gecko waste never lasts the day and if the gecko does not finish his cgd, I find a ring of isopods around his feeding bottle cap that will clean it out by mid-day. Isopods are breeding like no tomorrow. Gecko looks happy and is very active at night. I can hear him jumping all around the place and walking on the leaves. I also have a piece of rotting grapewood half burried in the tank. The springtails are all over this and the isopods are all under and in it. Also baby isopods and springtails are also visible throughout the soil in various areas, from top to bottom. Springtails are also in the hydroton layer at the bottom. Not nearly as many compared to the top but they are there.

No mold on the surface of soil when I look under leaves. The plants in the tank are growing like bananas. (pothos, ivy, sansiviera) However when i look around the sides of the viv, I can see what looks white stuff throughout the soil. Nothing on top but deep throughout the soil. Is this anything I need to be worried about?

Tank is about a 1.5 years old.

Not sure if its bad but to me it looks like fungus. That's natural to have in a vivarium. I know of people who regularly have mushrooms in their tanks. I'm not too positive it is fungus but that's what it looks like. Nearly positive it isn't mold. Mold doesn't look like that.

yup, those are hyphae. I see it all the time in healthy vivs. a big mat of fungus on top, now, that would be worrisome as you would probably have humidity issues. fungal bugs in the dirt are just busy breaking down organic matter.
