Not sure if I should be worried or not.

Recently, Owen my Leo has been spending all his time in his humid hide. Now for a good few days. I don't tend to see him much, but I think that's because of him being adopted and had to be saved from poor health. (See my welcome thread to see what I saved him from)

He very rarely pokes his head out. You just see him having moved, so maybe his tail. Then a few hours later, maybe his head. Typically he stays in there til the moss dries out.

He's also decided to stop eating. He's a very picky eater. Ignored all crickets and only wanted meal worms. He used to take them out handily, but the last few days nothing.

He's a good size, walks healthily when he needs to and if you take the top off the hide. Tail is nice and plump, he's not overweight and his colours always looked good.

I've just removed some of the decor in the tank and moved the food bowl, cal I dust and water bowl closer to him just in case he was having a hard time, though I've seen him negotiate the tank decor as it was easily.

I held a mealworm to him and he actively came and went for it. Made me jump though so he dropped it and decided it was better to just slowly go back in the humid hide.

He's on repti carpet, hot side at 32c and cold at 24. The humid hide in 2/3rds on the heat mat, the hot hide atop it. The temp probe there too. Heated by a heat mat.

All poops have always looked good and consistent. Nothing has seemed out of the ordinary.

Id love to get him on crickets but most of all, I'd love to just know he is okay.

All reading I do just gives me horror stories. :/

I love my reptiles to pieces. I hope I'm doing ok. Maybe I just have a lazy gecko...

Hi

I swear my Daff is part Weeping Angel (from Doctor Who). :) You never see him move, but he's not always where you saw him last. Reptiles are generally lazy, and don't expend energy unless they have too. Also, they're crepuscular, so are must active at dawn and dusk, and into the night, so he may be more active than you realise. I bought an infrared/night vision camera relatively cheap from Amazon and set it up on his viv at night, some nights Daff was hardly seen, but others he was all over the viv. That might be a way to see what's going on when you're not in the room.

What size crickets are you trying to feed? Daff's not interested if they're too small.

If he's walking well, and still got a plump tail I wouldn't worry too much.

Where in the UK are you, I'm in London.
