Six months since we brought Jesse Pinkman home

Hi everyone,
Here's a new pic of my baby, Jesse Pinkman. He's 7-8 months old and appears to me to be healthy (please let me know if anything doesn't look good). The only thing that worries me a bit is that he's still very reluctant to be picked up. I've just (like in the last week) been able to slide my hand under his hide and slowly lift it away and have him sit there for a few minutes before he tries to get away. Any hope of taming him at this point or he just not that kind of Leo?
Thanks,
Heather

Look's fine to me! My male is very scared but I heard that other males love being held! If you tame it like you are then in a few months he should be a nice holding gecko. My female was trained to climb on my shoulder and jump off even at busy reptile expos! My other female is a cuddle bug and will fall asleep in my lap during a noisy movie. So it just depends on training like dogs!

He looks quite healthy! Nice sturdy looking legs!
You never know when your leo's temperament may change, so just keep trying, but not to the point of stressing him out.

Thanks, Todd. I'm glad to hear that he looks well, I have really tried to take good care of him. My husband says I come home from work and check on Jesse Pinkman before I speak to anyone else (not true!).

On the behavior front, he has never shrieked or bitten, even when he was tiny, so I think he's always had a reasonably good temperament. He has made slow progress in that he will now sit still in my hand for a short while and doesn't seem panicked like he used to, but that may just be because he's not as fast in general now that he's bigger.

I try to pick him up probably 5 times a week--never more than once in a day. I was worried that I wasn't working with him enough, but I hate to force something on him that he finds frightening.
