Heat Mat - Wooden VIV

Hi

I used to have my heat mat under the lino but have since been warned against the dangers of this. I have moved the heat mat to the side of the viv but I cannot get the ground temperature warm enough, its only about 25C on the warm side.

Does anyone have any advice?

The viv is about 60cm x 40cm x 40cm and I am using a square heat mat approx 25cm

I should say though, that your floor space is a bit small for an adult leopard gecko.

I used their ideas as well and adapted them to my own viv. It's working very well for me. I have a heat cable sandwiched between two tiles and ventilated the space between the two tiles using 4 rubber feet I had left over from another UTH. I elevated the tiles using 4 glass cups and put decorative pebbles inside to make them look nicer. It just took a little creativity
