Morio worm for P grandis

Quick on these (and mealworms for that matter) - I always feed them to my grandis in a dish - one of the Morios got out earlier and is loose somewhere in the enclosure, there's no way I'm trying to get it out as I don't want to dig all the plants up and that will just unnecessarily spook the gecko.

If it turns into a beetle do I need to get it out or will she just eat it?

Thanks
Nathan

Most geckos will not eat the beetles, the exoskeleton is way too hard. You can always leave it in there to clean up the poop, unless you already have a cleaner crew.

I actually had to look up what type of worm, used to seeing superworm and not morio worm lol.

Thanks Jess - I had a feeling that would be the case. There's already a cleaning crew of springtails and earth worms in there, but more cleaners won't hurt!

To be fair I'll be surprised if it makes it though to beetle - with the tank being so heavily planted she has to hunt, if it's daft enough to stick its head up she'll have it I suspect lol!

I didn't think of that with the name - they're always marked up as Morio worms in the UK for some reason, I know them as super worms as well though :)
