Hello everyone! I'm Alex! I just became the proud owner of a juvenile leopard gecko named Sahloknir (Sal for short).
I joined this forum for two main reasons. The first is that when I was doing my research about how to properly care for a gecko, this board was incredibly helpful. Seeing all the detailed information from actual gecko owners, and all the varied opinions about what to do and how to do it really made me feel at ease. Even after getting him only two days ago, I still frequently found myself checking up on caresheets and looking through the forums trying to find answers to questions and confirmation that I'm doing the right thing.
The second reason for joining this is that I'm a paranoid pet parent and I am constantly terrified that I'm going to do something horribly wrong. Finding a community of people with more experience -- or even better, people who are just as scared as I am -- is really comforting.
These are a few pictures of Sal. He's very very small.
