Leopard Geckos Tail is always thin?

So I orderd a leopard gecko almost about 2 years ago as a baby (4-5 inches). Now he is almost fully grown and is active and looks healthy. But ever since i've had him he has always had a thin tail. I have had other geckos and they usually have thick tails and if they ever got thin tails it usually meant that they needed more food. But with this leopard gecko, I will feed him more or more often and make sure he always have water but his tail stays thin. I really don't worry because he is active looks healthy and has a good appetite.

Could this be normal for some geckos?

How thin is the tail? Could you share a photo or two of him? Also, have you taken him to a vet and had him checked out including fecal scans? In order to help better we could use more info :) I know some Leos are more susceptible to becoming overweight, or staying slim.

I also have a Leopard Gecko who has a thin tail though not stick thin, but this is a recent development for him :(. He lost his tail once, I believe his cage mate bit him.. though they have been together for 8 years without any other trouble. The tail grew back and has been fat until recently. He seems to eat and ate several large wax worms and crickets a few days ago.. but now he ignores the worms and only eats crickets. He just seems "off".

Could have decided to brumate. This cooler crazy weather has many going off food.
