I've found some pretty funky hides in my time caring for reptiles. Here's a thread where you can share some pictures of cool hides you've found! Here's a couple I think are pretty cool. The one on the left is meant to show you the occupant, but I don't put it up against the glass, as the reptile wouldn't exactly be hiding.

These are reposts from my own threads but I really like this hide on the left I have for Arya, my female. She loves to climb on it and I added an artificial plant to the space behind it so she can hide behind her tree or climb on it easier. The one on the right is the same my male has for his dry warm hide and he spends most of his time in there.

This one isn't related to geckos but is still a hide. I actually made this one for my Brazilian Rainbow boa after seeing the issues for humidity that a glass tank with a screen top causes. She loves this thing and spends most of her time buried in the New Zealand Sphagnum moss in it. It is just a small shoebox sized Sterilite tote with a couple holes cut into the front and one on each side.

Seems to be popular, I have seen a few here with them. She likes to climb on it. She doesn't go inside a lot that I have seen though.

paper towel cover with some thing you want can do a great job as a fake tunnel and a plastic container can be the hide! you can slide them inside a more natural rocks or wood or whatever.!

Just remember to be careful about the wood you use. Pine and Cedar are very dangerous to reptiles and are lethal. Other than that I completely agree, creativity can make some amazing hides :)
