Our new gecko, Sunset and question!

Hello all, it's so nice to have found this forum. This is a mom and 9 year old writing about our new gecko, Sunset!

She's about 6 months and we've had her for two weeks. So far, she's eating and doing well. She spends most of her time in the moist hide sleeping. Any ideas of when we can expect to see more of her?

Thank you!

Sasha & Sasha's mom

Welcome to GU to all 3 of you!

Typically you won't see much of your Leo during the day. They are Crepuscular animals meaning they are most active at Dawn and Dusk. Also during the first month or so she will still be adjusting and more nervous about interaction with you. What helped my two Leos was lots of soothing talking anytime I was in the same room as them. That and just giving them as much space and time as I could. Eventually your new Leo will come to realize that you are her friends and are there to feed and care for her :)
