Gecko not eating

My gecko toothless hasn't been eating for three feedings. He hasn't shed to recently, his heat is on, there haven't been any changes to his environment recently, and he isn't impacted. I'm thinking it could be parasites (I try to get any leftover crickets out soon after feeding and crickets don't generally stay in for long). What could have caused him to stop eating? I can't find my thermometer so I can't check the temperature, but I will be hooking up a thermostat soon.

Something I learned was the outside temperature, even though our Leos don't experience it firsthand, does effect them. I have been having a wacky start to Spring and it has thrown off my females appetite. She only will eat about 1-2 worms (silk, horn, or super) every 3 days. My male, who is older and MUCH larger, would happily eat the same every day if I'd let him.
That was just one possibility though. The other that has me worried is that you seem to not have a thermostat or thermometer. If this is the case then the environment could have changed without you realizing it.
The worry for parasites can really only be addressed by taking him to the vet ASAP.

I have a thermostat that I got recently, just haven't hooked it up yet, which I'll do today. My thermometer is just lost and I will look for that. It could be that a few days ago it suddenly got cold and snowed alot. If this keeps up, I may send a stool sample to the vet.

I think you were right, cwilson! It probably was the snow, because he is eating again! His tail has become noticeably skinnier and I'm not sure wether to be happy or worried. Since he was overweight, I went from feeding him eight crickets a feeding to four crickets a feeding a few months ago, I think. It's either because of that or the fact that he stopped eating for about a week. Anyway, his tail is either a good weight now or slightly too skinny and I am now feeding him six crickets.

Good to hear he is back to eating :) The weather here in the Northeast has been crazy too so I saw similar appetite issues.

He's stopped eating again! Strange, he was so enthusiastic the time he actually did eat. Maybe because in a week it changed from snowy weather to hot weather?

The fact that he stopped eating again after eating very enthusiastically may be because he started to shed right after. He ate two crickets today. I hope your female starts to eat again!

My gecko is eating again, this time probably permanently. The first time he stopped eating was most likely the wacky weather and the second time was probably because of shedding. Thanks guys!

Some geckos will stop eating for whatever reason, whether they are sick or stressed then go back on food.Keep the cage wam, keep offering food. Don't get to worried until he has not eaten for a couple weeks or he loses weight. My male leo (now passed away) used to do this every spring once the cooldown season had stopped, he may just be hormonal.
