Wondering if a 18x18x24 is too big for a single crested gecko? Cause I've read several places that a bigger enclosure can make it more difficult for the gecko to catch it's crickets.
When to upgrade the enclosure??

It depends on the size of your gecko really.
That size is perfect for an adult.
If you have a baby, then the amount of space could stress it.
Here's my enclosure size to weight chart:
small enclosure - hatchlings and babies up to 5 grams
medium enclosure - juvies and young adults up to 20 grams
large enclosure - young adults over 20 grams

I put my geckos in that size enclosure at about 10g and they were fine.
