leopard gecko shed on toes??

i recently got my leo, a little over two weeks ago actually. he's been healthy, though a skittish baby who doesn't like being handled much (i try to keep it to a minimum). he went through his first shed and it went fine, but he still has shed on all of his toes, i think, they're all light white. i tried the bath and qtip method but nothing came off. i'm worried about trying to bathe him AGAIN because that might make him sick or something, so i don't know what to do. should i try again in a few days, mist him, wait to see if it comes off naturally?
we have a shed box with moss underneath a hide but he never uses it. can someone explain the setup for a shed box for someone whos leo does use their shed box, because i have a feeling mine isnt working. also, what side is it supposed to be on, hot or cool?

oh, and for tank size things: 20-long, he eats crickets every day, he's not on sand he's on repti-carpet, its around 93 on the warm side and 80 on the cool side. he has many hides and some plants, along with a bowl of water in the corner.

Yea, one of mine often has skin in his toes which is difficult to get off since he doesn't like being handled. Instead of misting him, put him in a container with paper towels soaked in warm water. Leave him in for about 15 minutes. Before doing this, you could try using tweezers or your fingers to pull the skin off if any is sticking up (make sure the skin is moist before doing so). Hope I helped!
