I am yet again posting a thread about two new leopard geckos I got.
OK I have experience with leopard geckos, and I understand that they're new and I've only had them for about a week, but I've had many leopard geckos and they've always been fine with me being in the room.
I haven't done anything wrong to them. I've barely held them, I just took them out a few times just for about a minute to show some friends.
One of them is worse than the other, but every time I open the tank they freeze or flinch, and they won't come out of their hides (even at night) unless I leave the room. I'll come back in the room and they'll freeze and slowly back up into a hide.
If I try to touch one or look like I'm touching one when really I'm giving them food or water or cleaning out some poop, they'll curl up and hiss and try to bite me.
I don't know what to do. I guess if they get used to me being there they could start trusting me, but this has never been a problem.
Should I try taming them or should I not bother them for a little while? What should I do?
