Hello everyone. Just wanted to share my little guys new home. Have three Leo's, Lilo, Stitch and Toothless. Its a 4'x23"x18 terrarium, I used a 20' flexible heat cable as the heat source with Rheostat to control the temp. The heat cable sits on 3/4 inch of sand and is covered by slate tiles to give it a nice desert stone look, while protecting the tempered glass bottom from potentially cracking due to heat fluctuations. First time putting theses guys in they spent two hours exploring the new set up and they're loving it. Well worth the money and time I spent. Will be enjoying it for many years. So if you're considering making one yourself I urge you to do so it very rewarding.IMG_20160925_114948.jpgIMG_20160925_110944.jpgIMG_20160925_110949.jpgIMG_20160925_111014.jpgIMG_20160925_111037.jpgIMG_20160925_111139.jpgIMG_20160925_111216.jpgIMG_20160925_111224.jpgIMG_20160925_111331.jpgIMG_20160925_111418.jpg

They'll be able to act naturally, like wild leos. Exploring their surroundings, climbing rocks, etc., much better for their health than sitting in a plastic tub with only a hide or two.

I agree since they've been in there I've noticed a big change in behavior. They've been a lot more active and seem to think they're spider monkeys climbing on anything they can.

Awesome setup! I built a custom enclosure similar in size for my leo as well and I completely agree that their behavior changes when they're given a larger environment to explore. The next thing I'd like to do is create a background similar to your's. Very nice.
