So this morning I saw that my baby standings day gecko had got himself stuck in his bamboo with just his tail sticking out. I could see that he was struggling to get out so i very carefully pulled him out by his tail, the instant i managed to pull him free he started wriggling around and thats when he dropped part of his tail. I know its not a huge deal because it will grow back, but the part of the tail that didnt fall off seems to have also partially fallen off, and there is a small gash in that spot. I have heard of geckos growing two tails if the tail doesnt completely fall of, will this happen here or will the gap just close?
