Getting friendly with each other

I am enjoying watching my pair of P. lineata. After introducing my two lined day geckos to their new home, there was establishment of territory. The male set up the left side of the enclosure, under the puck light and UVB. The female could be found on the computer fan that provides air circulation on the right side. They maintained their positions for much of the time with the male chasing the female every time she strayed to his side.

She has always been a better hunter than the male and less prone to hide when I pass close to the tank, thus I was able to pattern her movements. I placed a separate feed station, just for her benefit, along her route. She has fattened up considerably.

A couple days ago, I noted a change of behavior. He would sit on his side in his best colors and pose for her. He began to do what I have called his sexy dance; exaggerated side to side walk with undulating tail. She noted this from her perch on her side and sashayed past him.

She has now moved to his side and is sporting lovely dark green coloration to contrast with his neon green. He follows her around like a puppy in love....and she ain't running . I am anticipating new batch of eggs in 7-10 days
