On average it is near 20 years, but I have heard of females aged 26 and some in their 30s! Males will generally live a bit longer.

Keep in mind that if you plan to breed, your gecko's life span will decrease tremendously. But with good care, they will be around a long time.

Well, in this circumstance, wild means not tamed or domesticated while temperament means the nature of the animal (Assuming you mean in relation to geckos). Basically, it is saying that the personality of the gecko is "not tame", likely meaning that they could bite, tail wag (Defensive behavior) and run.
