Hi all,
Looking to get some info from more experienced breeders. I'm currently setting up a larger cage for my first hatchling as I am expecting more soon, but I wanted to get a gauge of how they should look when happy/stressed.
I know adults turn dark when stressed/cold. Our hatchling was quite dark at first, but we got him warmed up and some color returned. Sitting at 85F, with very high humidity, he is still much darker than his parents. He is in a pod with some pothos leaves and wet paper towels, plus pangea mix at the bottom. Is this normal color? I have not observed him eating much since we first hand fed and transferred him, but he tends to freeze when I am around.
Thanks all. Will be moving him to a larger enclosure soon for more UV but I want to make sure he is happy and healthy there as well.
