Hi,
I would like to share my experience, maybe somebody will find it useful.
As it commonly known, Phelsuma Grandis lays 2 eggs at a time. I ran into a different fact - my Phelsuma is about a year old, and she laid 5 times (all infertile of course, no male around). First two layings were just 1 egg each time. The breeder I got her from says it's very rare, but as my personal experience shows - it happens more than just never.
Two next layings were usual, 2 eggs in one day, each time.
The fifth laying was unusual - checking with a light I specifically and clearly saw 2 eggs inside. One egg she laid 11 days ago. The second remained inside. I was quite a bit concerned, as the overall breeders' consent was that in this case she needs to have a surgery ASAP to extract the egg. My first phelsuma grandis passed away from the similar problem.
However, this one carried the egg for another 10 days, felt great from what I can say - she willingly came to my hands and sat, moved around wet glass (i.e. no vital problems), was in great mood and had a good appetite. After 10 days, she laid the second egg without fuss. From what I can see, she is in great shape and good mood after the happening.
I wasn't able to find a case similar to this nowhere, so I decided it's a good idea to share this experience with the community. So it happened - laying 2 eggs with a 10 days period between them, without any consequences to Phelsuma Grandis health. As long as you monitor your pet's health and condition at all times, of course.
It was very unusual experience for me.
