I got a juvenile awhile back, she was marked as a possible giant (dad was a giant. She's also 50% fascio )
But I'm not entirely sure what would eventually qualify her as a giant or not. Her breeder said she had likely visible traits of being a giant, but it would be hard to tell until full grown.
I've heard conflicting reports of weight levels defining a Giant, the most common I've seen is 60g within the first year for females.
My question is, she's already 56g (and not obese) and she doesn't turn 1yo until the last week of August.
60g seems a bit small. She'll probably be 60 by the end of the week if not more.
She looks smallish to me too, but then again my other Gecko was a rescue and he's a 10" 108 gram boy who I've had longer so it's kind of hard for me to judge in comparison to him.
I don't have a length for her yet, she is kind of. Pissy. Sometimes. ....I love her, but she's still young and slowly warming up to me.
But would length be a better indication of being a giant or not?
Honestly I don't mind either way, I'm likely to never breed her, I'm just curious.
