welcome to GU!

I'd encourage you to just browse around the forums. there's a lot of great information in here, and often times newer folks tend to trip over the same questions.

Welcome to the forum! And it's great that you're researching before owning a leopard gecko, whichever one you pick out will be cared for very well I am sure :). Correct me if I'm wrong, but you probably want the UTH on one end of the tank as opposed to the middle. Putting it on one side allows your gecko to choose what temperature it wants to be at. It's important for them to be able to have a temperature gradient in the tank so they can regulate.

thanks for the info, sorry but in my first post I said "I'll have a warm hide and a cool hide and a moist hide in the middle I'll have a UTH" but there should have been a coma in between of middle and I'll, it should of been "and a moist hide in the middle, I'll have a UTH" sorry about that.

anyway will the sponges collect bactaria even if I wash them out and dry them?
